Focused Therapy for Meaningful Change
Life can become constrained by unresolved trauma, chronic stress, self-doubt, intrusive thoughts, or patterns that no longer serve you. Therapy should be purposeful, clinically grounded, and focused on meaningful progress. I provide individual therapy for adults seeking effective treatment that targets underlying issues rather than remaining indefinitely focused on symptom management alone.

My practice has particular focus in the areas of trauma recovery, work with first responders and United States Armed Forces veterans, moral injury, self-esteem and identity concerns, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Many clients come to treatment after functioning at a high level externally while carrying significant internal distress, burnout, guilt, shame, anxiety, or emotional exhaustion.

Treatment is tailored to your presenting concerns and goals. Depending on clinical need, I integrate Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and psychodynamic therapy. This combination can help address both current symptoms and the deeper emotional patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be maintaining them.

My clinical approach is active, strategic, individualized, and goal oriented. When appropriate, therapy is designed to help clients make efficient progress rather than remain in treatment longer than clinically necessary. Some concerns may improve in shorter-term focused work, while others benefit from longer treatment depending on complexity, history, and goals. Recommendations are individualized and based on your needs.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-informed therapy approach designed to help individuals process distressing memories, trauma-related reactions, anxiety, and other emotional burdens. ART uses structured techniques, including eye movements and imagery rescripting, to reduce the emotional intensity connected to painful experiences while preserving factual memory. Many clients find this approach efficient and focused, though response time varies by individual and presenting concern.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a gold-standard treatment approach for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related anxiety patterns. ERP helps clients gradually face feared thoughts, sensations, or situations while reducing compulsive behaviors, reassurance seeking, or avoidance. Over time, this process can reduce anxiety and strengthen confidence in tolerating uncertainty and distress.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on identifying underlying emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, and unconscious beliefs that may contribute to current distress. This approach helps clients understand how past experiences can shape present reactions, self-worth, coping styles, and interpersonal functioning. Increased insight can support more intentional choices, healthier relationships, and lasting change.
Risks & Benefits of Therapy
Potential benefits of therapy may include reduced symptoms, improved coping skills, increased insight, healthier relationship patterns, improved self-esteem, and greater emotional flexibility. Therapy may also support recovery from trauma, OCD, stress injuries, or longstanding patterns that interfere with functioning.

Potential risks can include temporary emotional discomfort, increased awareness of distressing thoughts or memories, anxiety during treatment exercises, or discomfort associated with discussing sensitive experiences. Progress is not guaranteed, and outcomes vary based on many factors, including readiness for change, consistency, complexity of concerns, and life circumstances. Treatment recommendations are individualized and discussed collaboratively throughout the process.
